Do you choose books to read by award?
There are lots of awards out there handed out to books each year. There are several awards for young adult and childrens books, such as the Caldecott Book awards, and fairly recently, The Alex Award, which was created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) to honor the year's 10 best adult books for young adults. I was wondering whether you choose books to read based on these awards, or if you have other things that influence your choices? If you are influenced by other things, would you please share with us what helps you to choose which books, young adult or otherwise, you want to read.

Thank you, Sonya. Do you read young adult novels? Do you have a favorite?
